PAL 1 and 2

Kalesidoscope

PAL 2:

Description: Kaleidoscope is an open-themed exhibition welcoming artists of all styles and forms.
Rational:  By participating in art shows it strengthens my professional standing, enriches my teaching, and provides both personal and artistic growth. It allows me to position myself not just as an educator but as an active contributor to the broader art community.

By actively participating in the art world, I set an example for my students, showing them that artistic careers are achievable. Through these experiences, I can share firsthand insights about the process of exhibiting art, providing practical knowledge about the professional art world. Additionally, exposure to new ideas and techniques during art shows inspires me to incorporate innovative teaching methods into my classroom.

Monochromic Purple

PAL 1:

Description: The exhibition Monochrome describes paintings, drawings, sculptures, designs, or photographs in one color or values of one color. The February birthstone is amethyst, a violet-to-purple variety of quartz. Purple is the color of royalty, but it can also be a descriptor, a mood perhaps, but absolutely a prompt for your imagination.

Rational:  Exposure to different styles and concepts at an show like this provides me with fresh ideas to incorporate into my classroom activities. I can bring insights from the show back to my students, sharing contemporary examples of art processes and practices. Attending these events also helps me identify accessible or relatable artists and exhibitions to recommend to my students, encouraging their own artistic exploration.
