After the winter SILICA ceramic sale, the club organized using the money from the sale to have Emily Schroeder come to ISU. The poster you see on the right is a poster I designed for the artist's visit. Emily Schroeder is a ceramic artist who utilizes pinching the clay body to create pottery and form her vessels.
Rationale:
During my time in the artist lecture, I got the opportunity to show her my work and have her critique it. I was very inspired by her work as she did work for herself and did work for sales. I found that interesting as I enjoyed listening to her teacher about how to be a ceramic seller and conceptual artist as well.
